Season Greetings..

Season Greetings

December is one of my favourite months of the year. I equally look forward to Christmas with the family but also looking to new starts at the end.

Christmas is a time for spending time also with my family of books. I love reading this time of year. Setting well intentioned reading goals are also a favourite, but more of that in a later post.

To start off the Christmas themed posts I will post my Historic Christmas Bookstagram Challenge..

Reading & Bookstagram Slump

Hi Book Witches

I’ve been in a book funk. I hate them especially this time of year because its my absolute favourite. The cold weather makes for perfect snuggling with candlelight, but recently I haven’t even been bothered to tidy my bookcases.

I’m hoping to kick this slump out of my life, so for the month of November I am going to just concentrate on finding some time and energy to read. I created a November Bookstagram challenge but have yet to take any photos, so I going to refer till December.

Wish me books and if you have any suggestions to get over a funk i would love to know.

Book Tag, New Post

Reading Habits Book Tag

This is my first ever Book Tag. I’ve seen these on Blogs before, and I thought I would give it a go. Below are just the questions if you want to Copy and paste in your own blog. Don’t forget to credit me.

What do you read?

I read an awful lot of Historical Fiction. I love to read books about Dukes, Highlanders, Vikings and Gladiators.

Where do you read?

Everywhere and anywhere. I read a lot in bed, and in my reading chair. I also read at work, cafes, during dinner.. anywhere.

Do you use Bookmarks?

Only magnetic ones.

Do you listen to anything whilst reading?

I have created several playlist on Spotify of classical music scores. These are often from TV/Movies adapted from books.

Do you listen to Audiobooks?

Yes, I love them, every Friday I listen to relax after a long week at work.

Paperbacks or eBooks?

I love reading the ‘real thing’. The smell, the weight in my hands gives the whole experience more muchness. BUT, some of my favourite novels are only available in eBook, so I enjoy them both.

TBR shelf or Cart?

I recently just brought a Pink cart. I LOVE it, I don’t know how I organised my reading before.

Bookstagram?

Yes, I love Instagram, and the book community on their is brilliant. Everyone is so nice, and supportive.

Do you keep a Journal?

I do keep a reading journal. You can purchase it here from Amazon.

Do you use any Apps to help you read?

Two. Bookly is an amazing time app. It times how long you read for, plus it’ll help you reach goals. I also use Goodreads when I’m book shopping. I tend to lose count of how many novels I have!!

Finally, Do you read Fanfiction?

I use to read Harry Potter Fanfiction, years ago. I always read Draco & Hermione Romances!

How much?

You can add up to 10 books and use all the features completely FREE, however for £4.99 a month you can totally add as many as you like. In my eyes, this is totally worth it!!

To Conclude:

Its a really great app, and its still pretty new. There are some features that are on the iOS version that are not on Andriod, such as levels of reading etc. Which I am really hoping will be updated soon, as this is another great way to challeng youself to use the app more. I adore this app and genuinly wouldnt know how to read and write reviews without it.

Rating:

4 Knocked off one cat for the difference in iOS and Andriod.
